From the start, uninstalled EcuFlash1.29a, and both tactrix drivers. Tried to remove the FTDI USB drivers too but the uninstall software does not work, just does nothing. Rebooted computer, and reinstalled EcuFlash 1.29a, and openport drivers.

I believe they are all extended parameters but my RR (with the latest defs) doesn't show any of them (non marked with a *).

See the that FTDI was overwritten. Then plugged in the ODBII cable, and pointed the drivers to the ecuFlash drivers directory and installed (twice) When I start ecuflash, I can see it detects the cable on com4, it shows up at the right bottom corner OpenPoer 1.3 Subaru TX4592Vj. If I unplug the USB it disappears and then replug it and it appears again - so I think the driver appears to be properly installed. Here is the problem, I go to read from ECU.

Jul 25, 2006  The main piece of software for subaru select protocol has been released open source. It would be nice to have your EVO logger and the subaru logger on the same product, and it might be wasier for you to write some code in this software rather than do your own from scratch.

They have real cars running it and they are truly a REAL deal - but I cannot agree with some of their decisions, that's why I had to start my own project a year ago. Right now I only have one car running this thing, so I still have a lot of catch-up in front of me:) Good day Russian, Understood. I recognize that everyone has their own approach and goals in mind, but thought that perhaps some cross collaboration would be beneficial, as there are a lot of 'pieces' to create such a device.

W_o_t_boy & bikerwriter are both beta-testers for the realtime tuning bits. Also, we are now 1 step closer to eliminating that retarded timing issue on the '06 WRX. I just tested out a beta definition file and adjusted the new table -- and had GREAT success with it.

When paired with an intake, it made things worse. The 2015+ WRX could suffer this same issue. EGBP reading: Last edited by EJ257; at 09:22 PM.

There is around 12psi at 2300rpm. It hits 17psi at 2500.

In order to Flash you will need the Following: Laptop Open ECU 1.0 WRX Version Flash Block Jumped (See Below) ECU Flash (Warning!! Can be Dangerous! Use at your own Risk!) Flash GUI is a great utility for Backup/Comparing Images (but is not recommended for flashing) (Note: Before Starting, Make Sure you have a Fully Charge Car Battery and Laptop Battery. When Jumping wires, and Connecting Connectors you should have the key out of the ignition.) Before you being the flashing process you will need to provide the ECU with the 12 Volts needed to flash the ECU. This is done by 'Jumping' the Flash Connector.

Based on my research I found that I had to upgrade the firmware on the OP2.0 in order to support local logging. I downloaded the Ecuflash version 1.43.3150 software and performed the upgrade. I connected my OP and it upgraded the firmware as expected when I opened the licensing screen. Ecuflash still seems to work but RR can no longer see the OP2.0 COM port. I dont see any other com port other than COM1 in the drop down.

Event Log: Sunday 5th July 2006 - EvoScan v0.8 PreRelease version released. Sunday 26th June 2006 - EvoScan v0.7 PreRelease version released. Project Goal: To support all Mitsubishi MUT-II(JOBD)/MUT-III and Subaru SSM Protocol and Nissan datalogging protocol Models Note: Only US DSMs/Eclipse and US EVO8/9 support the universal standard OBDII datalogging tools.

He does a great job in providing really good starting points to work from and would recommend them to anyone who is willing to experiment and tinker with them. If you want some help just lemme know. Yup, they are on the fasttrack to getting realtime tuning, launch control AND PER-GEAR WASTEGATE COMPENSATION (w00t x infinity) a reality. It looks like once you point the ecu to read from the RAM areas, you can re-write the code to make it do some pretty cool stuff, provided you have the memory space and the right tables to butcher up, hehehe.

Reading: In that article, IAM = DAM (OpenECU / Cobb call it a different parameter, but it's the same thing) Basically, your car pulled timing globally because it detected enough detonation from the active knock control strategy. I'm not familiar enough with the FA motor tuning (merchgod got hired by Cobb, and the ECU hasn't been released on OpenECU), but exhaust gas back pressure has been an issue with previous WRX motors in the past. When paired with an intake, it made things worse.

There seems to be increasing misinformation/questions about how Opensource tuning software works. This is just an overview to give a general understanding of what the software actually does or can do as opposed to a 'how do I tune?' Guide or how to use the software.
