Jun 23, 2011  I have a gateway NV59c66u laptop with an Intel Centrino Advanced-n + WiMax 6250 card and cannot get wireless networking. I am running 10.6.7 using iboot + multibeast and I have gotten everything working except for Wi-Fi. The solution, in my case, was a firmware upgrade on the router. It was sold to me brand-new using revision 1.02 (This revision supported using the shareport for a 3G wireless adapter. All subsequent firmware upgrades removed this capability which is why I was hesitant to upgrade the firmware.)I upgraded my router to the latest firmware revision 1.23NA as of April 1/2011. I reapplied my original router settings manually. The Asus connected to wireless-n without a hitch.

For quite some time I battled with the same issued mentioned by several in this thread. All other machines connected without issue to wireless n (including my Mac Book at 5GHz respectively).

Install aqua-mac's package 4. Install NVDarwin 1.2.3 6. Reboot I wasted 2 days trying to do this originally using my old 10.5.1 to 10.5.5 upgrade and doing MBP kext tranfer, the Boot.plist modifying using gfxutil & osx86 tools, etc. Oh well, but at least it works now.

I decided to experiment a little, changing the Cipher Type to 'AES' and BAM!!! It connected in NG mode!!! This is the only security mode that I can get the 2 to connect with each other in NG mode.' Now I can say if this will help but after too many trips to the field and setting it up this forum's top post how we suggest many times I wonder if it's that old thing. I know this thread has been dead fo quote some time, but I have the same issue with my dell precision that has this wireless card in it. I have went to advanced settings on the device and enabled 802.11n mode, changed the width and prefered band, but when i go to 'wireless mode' at the bottom of the list, it lists everything up to 6.802.11a/b/g, but there is nothing in that list that has 'n' in it.

I suspect the Intel driver may do excessive roaming between two bands on the same SSID, even when Roaming Aggressiveness is set to 1 (already set there) and that the latest driver may be more aggressive at band switching. However, that's just conjecture.

I just wasted a lot of time figuring out that the current Intel driver (13.4.0.9?) and PROSet software for the Advanced-N 6200 card in my T510 causes big problems. After sleep, there is a long delay for connection (sometimes needs to be forced) and then there is a 60 second delay while 'identifying network.' I deleted the Intel software and driver and deleted the device and let Win 7 select a driver which was 13.2.0.30, which is backlevel, as you know. Works perfectly. (I previously used Access Connections but deleted that during my experiments and will probably leave it off.) RA. What seems to help more than anything is using separate SSID for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. I'm still seeing a few dropouts, but they are now rather infrequent and fairly short.

Though I really wanted to get the nano-sized I was a afraid that something that small would lack the range, though some owners it has decent range for its size. Taking the safer route, I decided to try get the which is their medium size 802.11n adapter. Overall, I couldn't be happier and it was an easy cheap way to get wireless for my Hackpad. For anyone who's interested, I got mine on sale through Meritline.com for about $8 w/ free shipping.

I'll try disabling power management and see if that also helps.

Got my Kalyway 10.5.2 install up and running, but without internet it's useless to me (kinda wanna mess around with th iPhone SDK but to do that I need 10.5.4 which I don't think I can get offline. And yes, I know not to use the Apple Updater. Fastest way to break my install and blah blah blah). I need to get online or else I'll go crazy and sell stuff I normally wouldn't in order to get a MacBook! No one wants that.

When I go to connect to my network it shows that the routers radio type is 802.11n. It is a rosewill rnx-n4ps router. The device in device manager is listed as Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6250 AGN and I just installed the latest drivers from intels site.

Well, I finally gave up on trying to get my onboard Intel Advanced-N 6200 wireless adapter to work on my Hackpad. As an alternative, I decided to try a USB Wireless adapter instead. The USB adapter I chose was something that was recommended on another hackintosh board which, was one of the Airlink101 line of adapters. One of the things that's great about Airlink101's is that they have drivers that support OSX 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 and they work right out of the box. Though I really wanted to get the nano-sized I was a afraid that something that small would lack the range, though some owners it has decent range for its size.

The Asus would 'see' the SSIDs (wireless signals) at both signal ranges and even prompt for the security key when attempting to connect. However, the connection would fail with an error message generated by Windows that the SSID could not be found and prompt the user to use the builtin network troubleshooter which also did not provide any viable solutions. I wanted to exhaust all possibilities before upgrading the firmware on my router. I tried removing the security protocol from the wireless; changing the g-signal to n-only; resetting the router to manufacturer defaults; running Windows updates; checking Intel updates for the wireless adapter; uninstalling/reinstalling wireless drivers; reinstalling the OS using the Asus restore media; disabling all other wireless devices accessing/not accessing the network.and a host of other troubleshooting approaches that are too detailed to name.

It sounds like you have the acer notebook i just installed ideneb 1.3 on this system. It has the nvidia 9600gt and the wifi 5100 i got the 9600gt working perfectly in 5 minutes. It was very easy. Just follow these instructions: if you have this notebook, did you get audio working? I think there is a alc889a in there but i'm not so sure and neither hdapatcher nor anything else worked so far. What about the Intell 5100 wifi driver. There is no mentioning about it.

Finally got mine working with QE/CI. Fresh install iDeneb 10.5.5 v1.3 (no graphics driver selected) 2.
